Which dominance? India never have dominance in test cricket.Just reached the top spot in Test Match by winning some matches with weak team and too in subcontinent.The Reason for Poor Performance in Test Cricket is over defensive Nature of Player.They should Play their natural game.May be there is something in the Dressing room among players.And The Coach Duncan Fletcher Failed to Boost the confidence Of the TEAM.
Candidate 2
yes, india never dominated, especially in tests. I think the reasons are dhoni's too COOL captaincy, lack of unity, lack of motivation and determination.

No india is doing good in cricket but we should focus on other games also , no body knows that kabaddi world cup also going in india ,so that is biggest reason ,,,,, so should support all games

can't say dat india dominated in T crickets.obviously reached top level for some times.its looks ders some ego prblms b/w players.main highlite of indian team is dey cn defeat any big team in word ,bt at d same time dey lose d matches wid d teames like ireland,kenya..etc.no consistency in play.being a professional team,dey shows poor performances.ongoing match is a gd eg.

a good cricket team should take each and every match seriosly and win as much matches as they can for theri country i think its time for introducing new players to indian cricket team who should be given a chance nd i think we will get the result

According to me we never dominated this fascinating game for a longer period even after winning World cup 1983 or may it be after taking crown of T20 in 2007 and WC 2007. Using word dominance for India Cricket is incorrect I would say continuity or consistent performance was there but in CHUNKS.
Now coming to the question Why Indian team is performing way below expectation , the reason is simple they are playing poor cricket , I think India has done pretty well over the years in T20 and ODI format since Dhoni took over charge from Rahul Dravid but in Test Cricket I always knew this is going to happen one day because our players are focused towards colored cricket rather than in a part where patience , determination and dedication counts more than anything else. I also think MS Dhoni should be replaced from captaincy and Charge must be given to someone who is performing consistently well. Take an example of Australia they never flow with emotions if they think any player who is senior or junior is not performing and not contributing to team they straight away give rest and that’s why they have maintained such a reputation in world cricket. Last but not the least we have to draw our attention more towards Domestic cricket because from there only a player makes his way to the team so for that there needs to be a better infrastructure , incentives and competition.

as for as d dominance is concerned. India never dominated in world cricket.yes of course it won the last world cup but it was never as par Australians.Recent poor performance of India is a result of not giving chance to youngsters even when senior players are not doing well,internal disputes between d team members,failure of coach to unite the team and many others.Selection panel must take some tough decisions for the future of Indian cricket and bring a new crop of players.hope for the best
