The Venue for the Examination will be intimated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Tickets for all the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the Teachers Recruitment Board in its official Website. Candidates are advised to refer the TRB Website (http://www.trb.tn.nic.in) and download their Hall Ticket.  No written communication will besent to the candidates.




The paper I is scheduled on August 17th 2013 and paper II on August 18th 2013

Application for Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test Examination are sold in the following schools from 17.06.2013 to 01.07.2013.



The TNTET 2013 will be held on as per Below schedule:-

TNTET 2013 Application Form/ Examination Fee | TAMIL NADU TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST - 2013

Application and Examination Fees :
a. Applications can be received from 17.06.2013 to 01.07.2013 from
all the Head Masters of Government Higher Secondary Schools, on
payment of Rs. 50/- in cash towards the cost of Application Form
and Prospectus.
b. Use Separate Application for Paper I and Paper II
c. The Examination fee is Rs.500/- for all the candidates except
SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates. For SC/ST and Differently
Abled candidates examination fees is Rs.250/-
d. The fee should be paid by the candidate in any Branch of the State
Bank of India or Indian Overseas Bank or Canara Bank only
using the Prescribed Challan attached with the Prospectus.
Payment of Fees in any other method will not be accepted.
e. Candidates should use the OMR Application Form only. NO
other form of typed or printed or photocopied application forms will
be accepted and such applications, if any will be summarily
rejected.
f. While making payment of fees through the Challan the candidate
should take care to write all the necessary details without fail.
g. The filled-in Application Form and the TRB Copy of the Fees
Payment Challan must be put inside the envelope provided and
submitted in person in the Office of the District Educational
Officer. Candidates are advised to get the acknowledgement on
the photo copy of the application form.
h. Submission of Application Forms online or by post or fax is NOT
accepted by the Teachers Recruitment Board. Such received
applications shall not be accepted and they will be summarily
rejected
i. DON’T send the filled-in Application Form directly to the
Teachers Recruitment Board.
j. Application Forms will not be accepted by the concerned District
Office after 5.30 p.m. on 01.07.2013

TNTET 2013 PAPER - 2 PATTERN | TAMIL NADU TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST - 2013 | STRUCTURE & CONTENT

Note:
a. Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on Educational
Psychology of Teaching and Learning, relevant to the age Group 11–
14 years.
b. Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the
Medium of Instruction. The Candidate has to choose any one of the
languages mentioned in Sl. No. ii above. For recruitment process,
candidate shall be considered for the vacancies in the concerned
medium only.
c. Language II – ENGLISH will focus on the elements of language,
communication and comprehension abilities.
d. Mathematics and Science / Social Science will focus on the
concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of
these subjects.
e. The questions in the test Paper II will be based on the topics of the
prescribed Syllabus of the State for Classes VI – VIII but their
difficulty level as well as linkages will be upto the Senior
Secondary (Higher Secondary) Stage.

Structure and Content of TET :
Number of questions : 150 Multiple Choice Questions
Duration of Examination : 3 Hours







Note :-
a. Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on Educational

11 years.
b. Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the Medium of

TNTET 2013 Eligibility/Qualification TAMIL NADU TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST - 2013

Candidates should possess the following prescribed qualifications to
write the Teacher Eligibility Test :

a. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Course (10+2
Pattern) and Diploma in Teacher Education / Diploma in
Elementary Education (regarding other State D.T.Ed Certificate,
evaluation certificate is necessary) in a Recognized Teacher Training
Institute / DIET and seeking an appointment as Secondary Grade
Teacher for classes I to V (except Visually Impaired Candidates) can
write Paper I.

b. Candidates who have passed a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. /B.Sc. /
B.Litt.) with Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,
Botany, Zoology, History and Geography or a Degree with any one
of the equivalent subjects (Regarding equivalent subject,
Government orders issued prior to the date of this notification alone
will be considered) from a Recognized University under 10+2+3
Pattern and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) from a
Recognized University and seeking an appointment as Teacher for
classes VI to VIII can write Paper II.

c. Candidates appearing for the Final Year Examination of D.E.Ed /
B.Ed during the current Academic Year (2012 – 2013) are also
permitted to appear for the Teacher Eligibility Test. Such
Candidate’s should have successfully completed the course in the
current Academic Year (2012-2013) itself and should produce
D.E.Ed / B.Ed Certificate during Certificate Verification otherwise
they shall not be considered for current year Government
recruitment process. However they may be issued with TET
certificate after producing D.E.Ed Diploma certificate / B.Ed Degree
Certificate.

TAMIL NADU TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (TNTET) – 2013
NOTIFICATION / ADVERTISEMENT




Applications are invited upto 5.30 p.m. on 01.07.2013 for Teacher
Eligibility Test - Paper I and Paper II for the year 2013 from the eligible
candidates in Tamil Nadu.
In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the RTE
Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has vide Notification
dated 23rd August, 2010 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person
to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII. It had been
inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be
eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in
clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher
Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government
in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.
Teachers Recruitment Board is designated as the Nodal Agency for
conducting of Teacher Eligibility Test and recruitment of Teachers as per
G.O. (Ms) No. 181, School Education (C2) Department, Dated 15.11.2011.
