JEE (MAIN) - 2013 Correction in Category and State Code of Eligibility

It is informed to all the candidates who appeared for JEE (Main)2013 that the office is in receipt of requests / representations for change of their category and other correction in their particulars i.e. candidate/mother/ father’s name, State code of eligibility, mobile number, e-mail ID, date of birth, gender, etc. In this connection, the Board has decided to give a last opportunity to such candidates who wish to change their category (Gen/OBC/SC/STetc.) and State code of eligibility. The candidates can do such correction through online at the JEE website i.e. www.jeemain.nic.in. from 20/06/2013 to 28/06/2013. The candidates are informed to do these corrections carefully as these changes may affect their ranking of JEE (Main) 2013. The other corrections i.e. candidate/mother/father’s name, mobile number, e-mail ID, date of birth, gender, etc. will be done by JEE (Main) office on the receipt of request from the candidates either through mail or post latest by 28/06/2013. Thereafter, no such request will be entertained at any cost and the Board will not be responsible for the same. The change of category, sub-category shall not affect the score/eligibility for JEE (Advanced) declared on 07.05.2013.

Extension of Last Date for Online Submission of Application for JEE (Main) - 2013


The last date for filling up of online application form for JeeMain has been extended up to 24th December 2012.
Earlier last date to fill the form was 15 December 2012.

But as CBSE is conducting it the first time so has extended the date so that any student donot suffer.

So it your last chance if you have not filled the form yet.

Note:-The date for filling up of application for JEE (Main)-2013 shall not be extended any further.

JEE(Main) 2013 Admit card Download | jeemain.nic.in 2013 CBSE Joint Entrance Exam



Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) 2013 admit card will soon be available on the official website of the JEEMAIN i.e. http://jeemain.nic.in/jeemain2013/Welcome.aspx

All those who have filled the form can download their form by login into their account after the Application process will be ended.

Application form were filled upto 15 December 2012.

The exam was scheduled on 7 April 2013 (offline) and the online exam will be held between 8 April 2013 to 30 April 2013.

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE(Main) shall be limited to 03 (three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years.

 The candidates passed +2 exam in 2011 or 2012 or appearing in +2 in 2013 are only eligible to appear in JEE(Main)-2013. 

Candidates passed +2 in 2010 or before or appearing in 2014 are not eligible to appear in JEE(Main)-2013.

Admissions Criteria and Weightage for JEE (Main) Exam 2013

Admission to NITs, and IIITs, will be based on 40 % weightage for performance in Class XII board or other qualifying examinations marks (normalized) and the remainder 60 % weightage would be given to performance in JEE (Main) and a combined All India Rank (AIR) would be decided accordingly. The policy could also be adopted by other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and participating Institutions.

Part - I Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials.) Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build~environment. Visualising three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings. Visualising. different sides of three dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal). 
Part - II Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, substraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.

 Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces etc.), landscape (river fronts, jungles. gardens, tre es, plants etc.) and rural life. Note: Candidates are advised to bring pencils, own geometry box set, erasers and colour pencils and crayons for the Aptitude Test.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main Exam 2013 | List of Qualifying Examinations

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE(MAIN) 2013 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (see below). Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2013 may also appear in JEE(MAIN) 2013 provisionally.

However, admission criteria in the concerned institution/university will be followed as prescribed by concerned university/institution and as per the guidelines & criteria prescribed by AICTE.

 The candidates who are seeking admission in NITs, IIITs or CFTIs must ensure their eligibility for the admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs.

 The candidates who are aspirants only for IITs and ISM Dhanbad must ensure their eligibility for admission in IITs and ISM Dhanbad. The candidates who are aspirants for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs , IITs and ISM Dhanbad must ensure their eligibility for admission in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, IITs and ISM Dhanbad.

The JEE (Main) (earlier AIEEE) for B.E./B.Tech will be held in two modes, viz offline and online (CBT). The offline examination for JEE (Main) will be held on 7th April, 2013 and The online examinations will be held thereafter in April, 2013.

The JEE (Main)-2013 (Paper I of earlier AIEEE) will have one objective type question paper. The paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

For this exam prepare using NCERTs and objective Mcq books of publications like Arihant.
The Paper II for admissions to B.Arch/B.Planning courses at NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will have one Question Paper consisting of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing
Test as per past practice of AIEEE.

The duration of the paper will be 3 Hours. The Paper II for admissions to B.Arch/B.Planning courses at NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will have one Question Paper consisting of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing

Selection Criteria for Jee Advance:-
Only 1,50,000 of the top rankers in JEE (Main), will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)-2013 (earlier known as IIT-JEE) for admission to IITs, IT BHU and ISM Dhanbad. Notice in this regard has been issued by the IIT
system separately.

The JEE (Main) (earlier AIEEE) for B.E./B.Tech will be held in two modes, viz offline and online (CBT). The offline examination for JEE (Main) will be held on 7th April, 2013 and The online examinations will be held thereafter in April, 2013.


The examination (Paper II of earlier AIEEE) for admissions to B.Arch/B.Planning courses at NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will be held on 7th April, 2013 in offline mode only.

The merit list for admission to NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will be prepared by giving 40% weightage (suitably normalised) to class XII (or equivalent examination) or other qualifying examination marks and 60% to the performance in JEE (Main) Examination.

The JEE (Main)-2013 (Paper I of earlier AIEEE) will have one objective type question paper. The paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
